A ruckman and defender from Mentone, Brian Sierakowski commenced with St Kilda in 1964 and went on to play 75 VFL games and kick 2 goals over the next five seasons. In the 1966 grand final he lined up in the left back pocket and was one of the best players on view as the Saints scored a 1 point win over Collingwood to secure their first and to date only senior V/AFL premiership.

The 1967 season saw Sierakowski crossing the Nullarbor to join Subiaco where, by the time he retired in 1974, he had played 115 WANFL games and booted 20 goals. Highlights of his time in the west included winning a Lions fairest and best award in 1971 and playing in a premiership team two years later.

A lawyer by profession Sierakowski devoted more than four decades of service to the Western Australian Football Commission as arbitrator, appeals tribunal member and Chairman of Community football.
