Originally from Wonthaggi, Frank Jeeves played at seconds level for Fitzroy before being picked up by North Melbourne. A slimly built (180cm, 76kg) key forward, he debuted for the shinboners in round 11 1947, but did not become a regular senior player until the following year. He went on to play a total of 65 VFL games and score 25 goals for the club before crossing to Moorabbin during the 1954 season. His career highlight was probably lining up at full forward in the 1950 grand final, albeit that North lost to Essendon. His time with VFA club Moorabbin was fleeting as he added just four appearances and four goals before calling it a day.
