Regarded as a top forward, George Barker topped Essendon’s goal kicking list in 1905 with 29 goals. He played for the Same Old from 1903 to 1905, crossed to Richmond in the VFA in 1906, and then resumed at Essendon. In total, he played 47 games and scored 74 goals for the Same Old. He finished his playing career with VFA side Northcote where he played from 1910 to 1912.
