At 200cm in height Graham Fellowes was the tallest ruckman of his day. After struggling for consistency early he became a handy player who led the ruck, and was listed high among the best players afield, in Collingwood’s shock grand final defeat of Melbourne in 1958. He was forced to retire prematurely because of knee problems. Between 1956 and 1964 he played 66 VFL games for the Magpies and kicked 22 goals.
