Born in Switzerland, Henri Jeanneret was a small (18cm, 74.5kg) wingman who lacked a little pace but was a skilled ball handler and marked well for his size. He played 75 VFL games and kicked 12 goals for South Melbourne between 1898 and 1903 before rounding off his career with 4 games and no goals for Melbourne in 1904.
