A rover or wingman who boasted truly exceptional pace, Ian Aston was one of the driving forces behind Fitzroy's emergence as a League power in the late 1950s and early '60s. Between 1956 and 1962 he played 98 VFL games and kicked 22 goals for the Roys. He also represented Victoria once, in 1959.
