Jack George was a solid ruckman and defender who played league football with three clubs. He produced his best and most consistent form with St Kilda, where he played 55 VFL games and registered three goals from 1931 to 1935. Prior to that he had made seven appearances without kicking a goal for Collingwood in 1930-1. He rounded off his career with 11 games and one goal for South Melbourne in 1936.
