Of hefty build at 183cm and 92 kg Jack Streader was recruited by Fitzroy from Fairfield, and made his senior league debut in 1949. A competent all round footballer who could operate across half forward or as a follower, he played 69 VFL games for the Roys and kicked 45 goals over seven seasons.
