Originally from Camden in the Federal Football League, Max Mollar gave St Kilda solid service, mainly as a defender, in 82 VFL games between 1950 and 1955. He kicked five goals. In 1954, he represented the VFL on a half back flank, a position in which he excelled during the later stages of his career. Earlier, he had played many fine games in the back pocket.
