Richmond drafted Nick Daffy from North Gambier in 1990 and he made his senior AFL debut two years later. However, it was not until 1995 that he became a regular in the Tigers' line-up. Always dangerous near goal, he amassed 181 goals in his 165 games in the black and yellow. In 1998, when used quite frequently on the ball rather than in his more usual half forward role, he won the Richmond best and fairest award. After that, however, his form gradually tapered off and in 2002 he crossed to Sydney hoping to re-ignite his career. However, quite the opposite transpired and he managed just a single game all season before being delisted.
