Peter O’Sullivan was a classy wingman who joined Essendon from Ascot Youth Centre, having won the 1948 under-age best and fairest in the Essendon District League. He progressed through the ranks at the Bombers and made his senior debut in 1952. His football was eye-catching and effective, but he only spent four seasons with the Dons, playing 47 VFL games and kicking one goal. From 1956 to 1958 he added 25 games and six goals for North Melbourne, sometimes lining up on a half forward flank rather than a wing.
