Rohan Smith was a lively half forward flanker or wingman who made a key contribution to the Port Adelaide cause for more than a decade. Having worked his way through the club's junior ranks he made seven senior appearances in 1985 before becoming a regular, first choice selection the following year. His Port career, which ended in 1997, comprised 251 games, including the victorious Grand Finals of 1988, 1989, 1992, 1994, 1995 and 1996. He missed the Grand Final win over Glenelg in 1990 with injury.

Rohan Smith spent the 1991 season with VFL club St Kilda but was hampered by injury and managed just three senior games.
