Hailing from famous Bendigo club Golden Square Rowan Warfe impressed as a strongly built, determined and courageous half back flanker during the closing chapter in the history of the Fitzroy Football Club. Between 1994 and 1996 he played 26 AFL games and kicked 1 goal for the Lions and when the club folded after the 1996 season he was offered a lifeline by Sydney. He spent eight seasons with the Swans but because of injury was limited to just 84 senior appearances.
