Dogged and determined, Stephen Daniels was a useful negating defender who played with Norwood in the SANFL and Port Adelaide in the AFL. Not one to worry if his disposal stats were low as long as those of his opponents were lower, he averaged barely 5 total kicks and handballs during the AFL phase of his career. Included on Port Adelaide's list when the club entered the AFL he played 58 games with the Power in four seasons. His SANFL career with the Redlegs ran from 1994 to 2004, overlapping to some extent with his AFL stint, and saw him make 131 appearances.
