Stephen Theodore was a tough, hard working utility who excelled in wet conditions. His 134 VFL games for St Kilda between 1969 and 1976 included the losing grand final of 1971, when he lined up on a half forward flank and booted one of his team’s 11 goals.
After leaving St Kilda Theodore crossed the Bass Strait and joined NTFA club Longford where he made a big impression. In 2001 he was included in the club’s official ‘Team of the Century’.
