Tom Tribe was a useful defender who gave Footscray good service in 101 VFL games between 1939 and 1946. He played for Yarraville in the VFA before arriving at the Western Oval. A younger brother, George, also played for Footscray and indeed the pair’s careers overlapped to some extent.
