A fast-paced wingman who was exhilarating to watch when going full throttle, Wayne Linton joined Fitzroy from Camperdown and made his senior league debut in 1974. After playing just five games in his first season he maintained a regular spot in the side in 1975-6, and ultimately made 65 appearances and scored 17 goals over the course of his five year stint.
