Willis Reeve was a solidly built footballer who, from 1927 to 1932, was a near automatic choice to help shore up Fitzroy’s hard-pressed defence. During that time he made 86 VFL appearances without registering a goal. He had reached the ‘ripe old age’ of 96 when he passed away in 2001.
