From Minlaton on the Yorke Peninsula, Alex Lunn was a hardy defender who was a key figure for Woodville when the club mounted its first realistic assault on premiership honours in 1986. The fact that that assault ultimately failed - the Warriors finished third - was no reflection on Lunn, who was a sterling and consistent performer. His Woodville career spanned the years 1985 to 1990 in which he played 130 SANFL games and scored eight goals.
