Alf Mussman was a talented half forward who played premiership football in two states. His 57 SANFL games with Sturt between 1929 and 1934 included the Double Blues’ triumph over North Adelaide in the 1932 grand final. In 1935 he crossed to East Perth for whom he played 103 WANFL games and kicked 102 goals over the next seven seasons. The 1936 season saw him lining up on a half forward flank in the Royals’ 11.5 to 9.6 grand final defeat of Claremont.
Alf Mussman died in 1942, aged 30, whilst fighting in Singapore.
