From Clifton Hill Football Club Alf Wilkinson was a handy forward who topped Fitzroy’s goal kicking list in 1905 with 30 goals. All told he played 80 VFL games and booted 75 goals for the Roys from 1901 to 1906 and in 1908. Among his appearances were the 1903 grand final loss to Collingwood and the 1905 challenge final defeat of the same team. He missed the club’s 1904 flag win.
