Richmond recruited Angus Macisaac from Mooroopna and he proved a useful acquisition. Capable of playing at centre half forward, centre half back, or in a back pocket, he was agile, with a strong pair of hands. He lined up in a back pocket in the 1927 grand final which saw the Tigers slump to defeat at the hands of Collingwood.
