After 16 League games for North Fremantle in 1911-12 Arthur Aisbett switched to East Fremantle where he established himself as one of the foremost full backs of his era, although he was also eminently capable of filling other roles. For example, in the losing premiership decider of 1916 against arch-rivals South Fremantle he played as a follower changing in the forward pocket. His 113 WAFL games for Old Easts included the grand final triumphs of 1914 against South Fremantle and 1918 over East Perth.
