Chris Prime’s league football career was only fleeting but it was memorable. Strong overhead, an excellent kick and surprisingly good at ground level for a big man he was, for a short time, one of the leading key position forwards in the SANFL. From 1993 to 1995 he played 59 senior games for Norwood, and scored 182 goals. His tally of 87 goals in his debut season topped the Redlegs’ list, as did his haul of 53 the following year.
