From Naracoorte, Craig Budarick was a handy tall (191cm, 85kg) forward who gave solid service to Glenelg in 66 SANFL games between 1987 and 1993 in which he kicked 150 goals. As these figures imply, he was not always a first choice senior player, a fact further evidenced by his failure to play in three of the four grand finals contested by the Bays during his career. The one he did play in was that of 1988 when he top scored for his team with three goals. He was Glenelg’s overall top goal kicker with 41 goals that same season.
