Doug Rayment was a tough, long kicking rover or wingman who liked to make his presence felt. He began at Sandringham before playing precisely 100 VFL games and kicking 35 goals with St Kilda between 1934 and 1940. In 1941 he crossed without a clearance to Prahran in the VFA.
