Eddie Hadwen was an aggressive Mayne ruckman cum centre half back of the 1920s and 1930s. He was a regular Queensland representative between 1928 and 1935 and invariably put in quality performances for the state. Widely known as ‘Buckets’, he was suspended for one full year after an incident in which brother Albert, also a State team regular, was outed for three years.
