On a half back flank in West Torrens’ winning 1953 grand final team against Port Adelaide, Francis Graham was the player responsible for making the interception which launched the attack culminating in Ray Hank kicking the winning goal for the Eagles. If that was perhaps the high point of Graham’s career he was nevertheless an important cog in the Torrens machine over 10 seasons (1949-58) during which he played 130 SANFL games and registered two goals.
