Footscray’s Graeme Chalmers was a handy wingman who liked to push forward and kick a goal. He managed to score 37 of them over the course of his 75 game career from 1962 to 1968. In 1967 he was a member of the Galahs Gaelic football party which toured Ireland and the United States. He retired as a player at the age of just 23 in order to join the RAAF, and he later served in Vietnam.
