Footscray recruited Greg Eppulstun from Won Wron Woodside and he made his senior VFL debut in 1986. A solid and reliable defender, he played 102 VFL games and kicked one goal for the Bulldogs before crossing to North Melbourne in 1993. However, persistent injury worries restricted him to just one appearance in what proved to be his final season of senior football. A career highlight was being selected to represent Victoria in 1991.
