Along with Ted Kilmurray and Graham Farmer, Jack Hunt hailed from St Kate's orphanage. There was no tougher member of East Perth's powerful 1950s combinations than Hunt, who was frequently given the job of quelling the impact of an opposing team's most dangerous player, a task he both relished and almost invariably performed well. One of only eight Royals players to take part in all three of the club's winning Grand Finals of the '50s, he was the sort of tough, no nonsense performer every premiership side needs. His senior career with East Perth comprised 89 games between 1956 and 1960. He kicked 21 goals.
