Jason Watts was a highly capable small forward whose tally of 44 goals in 1996 was good enough to top Footscray’s list. He joined the Bulldogs from Werribee where he had played 16 VFA games and scored seven goals in 1992-3. After his stellar ‘96 campaign he dropped down the pecking order and played just five more senior games over two seasons. All told, he made 57 appearances for the Bulldogs and booted 51 goals.
