Having played for North Melbourne under 19s Keenan Reynolds was picked up by Footscray and, after a slow start, proved himself a handy footballer. Equally at home in defence or attack, he played 74 AFL games and scored 35 goals for the Bulldogs from 1990 to 1994. When he could not come to an agreement with the club over his salary he was traded to North Melbourne. However, he struggled to establish himself with the Roos, and after managing just 12 appearances and a couple of goals over two seasons he headed to Tasmania to round off his playing career with three seasons at Burnie Dockers.
