Kevin Hill was so audaciously talented that it is something of a surprise, not to mention a shame, that he is not better remembered. Light, indeed almost flimsy of frame, he was extraordinarily quick, excellent overhead and a deft foot pass. Players simply do not play close to 200 league games if they cannot withstand the rigours of the game, and Kevin Hill was tough.

A premiership player with Perth in 1976 and 1977 Hill played 56 WAFL games and kicked 34 goals for the club before moving to West Torrens in 1979. With the Eagles he played 127 SANFL games and kicked 177 goals over the course of a nine season stint. Most commonly used as a wingman he could also be deployed to good effect as a forward and certainly liked to kick a goal. He was the Eagles' leading goal kicker with 35 goals in 1981.
