Said to have “played with indomitable energy and courage” Leo ‘Dodo’ Healy was also versatile, performing with equal efficacy on a half forward flank, the wing, or in a back pocket. Cool under pressure, he was a sound mark and reliable kick to position. Seemingly relishing a challenge, he played some of his best football when opposed by the finest players in the game. His career with the Pivotonians comprised 75 VFL games and 23 goals from 1911 to 1914 and in 1919-20.
