Matthew Kluzek was a talented crumbing forward who was a shining light at the Woodville West Torrens for almost a decade. He was also on the Adelaide Crows list between 1994 and 1996, playing 24 AFL games and kicking 15 goals. In round seventeen 1994 he earned an AFL Rising Star award after kicking five goals against West Coast. However, he failed to build on his early promise and after managing just 4 appearances in 1996 he was de-listed.
Kluzek's SANFL career with the Eagles comprised 143 games and saw him kick 174 goals between 1993 and 2001. He was a member of the club's 1993 grand final-winning team against Norwood and topped its goal kicking ladder in 1997 with 32 goals. His brother Chris also played for the Eagles.
After retiring as a player Matthew Kluzek coached Scotch Old Collegians in the South Australian Amateur Football League from 2002 to 2004.
