From Middle Park CYMS, Harry Robertson was a comparatively small (173cm, 67kg) full forward who topped South Melbourne’s goal kicking list with 38 goals in 1919. During the season he registered what was then a VFL record tally of 14 goals in a match against St Kilda. He was a member of South’s 1918 premiership-winning team, contributing two goals from a half forward flank to a 9.8 (62) to 7.15 (57) grand final defeat of Collingwood. From 1917 to 1923 he played 64 VFL games for the southerners and scored 93 goals.
