After attracting widespread interest from AFL clubs during his initial time at East Fremantle Brad Rowe ended up being taken by Brisbane ahead of the 1991 season. He failed to ignite at the Bears, playing just 14 games and kicking nine goals in two seasons, but after crossing to Collingwood in 1993 he came into his own. Blessed with explosive pace and a keen eye for goal he developed into an extremely handy small forward, playing 51 games and booting 64 goals over four seasons. In 1996 he returned home to Western Australia after being picked up by Fremantle but he managed just eight games and seven goals for the year. When not selected by the Dockers he lined up with his old club East Fremantle, taking his final tally of games played with the club to 25 and the number of goals kicked to 33.
