Sean Tasker was a useful utility who produced good football at both ends of the ground. Strong overhead and a fine kick, he commenced his league career with North Adelaide in 1988 and went on to play 118 SANFL games and kick 104 goals for the Roosters over the next nine seasons. He was North’s top goal kicker in 1989 with 55 goals, while two years later he lined up at full back, and was one of the best players afield, in the grand final defeat of West Adelaide.
Between 1991 and 1996 Tasker undertook an AFL career with Adelaide in tandem with his SANFL career with North. He played 48 games and kicked 17 goals for the Crows and at his best was an important member of the team.
Sean Tasker rounded off his career with brief stints at Glenelg and Sturt.
