Tom Drummond was a fine player for Collingwood in 94 VFL games between 1916 and 1922. He was a member of Magpie premiership teams in 1917 and 1919 and represented Victoria in 1921 and 1922. Most commonly used as a wingman he was intelligent, pacy and a good ball handler. He also had exceptional aerial ability for such a comparatively short (170cm) individual. He skippered the Magpies in his last season with them. After three seasons away from the VFL scene Drummond made a comeback in 1926 with South Melbourne for whom he added a final 5 games to give him a career tally of 99.
