West Torrens full back Tracy Braidwood was a capable all round player who excelled at kicking the ball in from the goal square and who marked and spoiled well. He was sometimes mooted as a possible candidate for a place in the South Australian state team but, in the face of opposition from the likes of Ron Elleway, Ron Kneebone and Bruce Jarrett, he never quite made the cut.
Braidwood later had a stint as coach of Western Border Football League club East Gambier.
