The Magpies joined the Ongerup Football Association in the competition’s second season, 1964. It was a happy start for the club which would go on to become, for a time, the most successful in OnFA history as it won the premiership and by the end of the 1960s had added two more, while during the 1970s it really flexed its muscles finishing top on no fewer than five occasions. The Magpies continued to enjoy intermittent success over the ensuing couple of decades culminating in an eleventh flag in 1997. Since then, however, the club’s fortunes have dipped markedly, and they have been overtaken as the OnFA's most successful club by Jerramungup. The last few seasons have been uniformly dire with a fifth (of six) place finish in 2014 followed by two consecutive wooden spoons. The club did not field a team in 2017-18-19-20-21.
