Brothers

Based in Rockhampton, Brothers have enjoyed premiership success at least once per decade since their formation. After what was effectively a probationary season of reserves football the ‘Roos were granted senior status in 1983 and made their mark more or less immediately. In 1984 they downed Parkhurst in the Capricornia Australian Football League senior grade grand final before going on to contest the next three grand finals. Only that of 1985, once more against Parkhurst, was lost.

Brothers’ sixth and most recent senior grade flag came in 2010 when they accounted for BITS in the grand final by 10 points, 10.16 (76) to 10.6 (66).

In 2017 Brothers qualified for the finals and ultimately finished fourth before dropping one place on the premiership ladder in 2018. There have been no further senior grade flags but the reserves contested every grand final from 2017 to 2020, winning the first two.
