The Magpies have enjoyed only sporadic premiership success, but the club has generally been quite competitive. In 2016 they reached the Eastern Districts Football League grand final but lost by 9 points to Kulin Kondinin. A year later they made emphatic amends by cruising to the premiership with a one hundred per cent record, culminating in a 13.12 (90) to 9.9 (63) grand final triumph over Corrigin. Another grand final appearance followed in 2018 but the Magpies slumped to defeat at the hands of Kulin-Kondolin. After that the 2019 season was little short of disastrous as the side plummeted to the bottom of the list after losing all 14 matches for the year.
