In 2017 Carey Park were among the half a dozen clubs combining to form the South West Football League Women’s competition but they found the going difficult, losing all 10 matches contested en route to the wooden spoon. They improved significantly the following year when they qualified for the finals and ultimately finished fourth after losing the first semi final to Harvey Bulls by 23 points.
