Chapman Valley

Chapman Valley Football Club was a founder member of the Great Northern Football League in 1961. The Royals as they are known were the first GNFL team to win three consecutive senior flags, a feat they achieved between 1972 and 1974. Their most recent premiership success occurred in 1992 but subsequent performances have tended to be somewhat less noteworthy. They did manage a rare finals appearance in 2016 but wooden spoons in 2014 and 2017 were more the norm. In 2018 they fell somewhere in the middle, finishing fifth of seven teams before dropping one place on the ladder the following year. An abbreviated 2020 competition brought improvement and finals qualification for an ultimate finishing position of third.
