Coolamon

Coolamon’s precise origins are unclear, but the club boasts a proud history stretching back more than a century. Known references to the club commence around 1894 when it is reported that Coolamon won the premiership of the Ganmain Football Association by defeating Methol. Fourteen years later a second GFA flag was attained at the expense of Ganmain.

The Hoppers have competed in various leagues and associations over the years, and have usually managed to claim at least one premiership per competition. All told, they have played off in premiership deciding matches at senior grade level no fewer than twenty-eight times, emerging victorious on ten occasions. They have spent the last quarter of a century as members of the Riverina Football League, winning three flags at both senior and reserve grade level. Their most recent grand final appearance in 2013 saw them score an 11.17 (83) to 8.12 (60) grand final win over Collingullie Ashmont Kapooka. Subsequent seasons have seen them finish third (2014), fifth (2015), seventh (2016), fifth (2017), sixth (2018) and third (2019).
