After losing the Mortlock Football League grand finals of 2015 and 2016 the Bulldogs broke through to claim their first ever premiership in 2017. Top of the ladder at the end of the home and away rounds they cruised to the flag with resounding wins over Wongan Ballidu by 64 points in the second semi final and Toodyay by 50 points in the grand final. A year later they again made the grand final but opponents Gingin proved much too strong and won by 76 points. A year later they dropped down the ladder to fourth.
