Derby Tigers

Derby have operated under several different nicknames during their forty-plus year history. They also split into two separate clubs, Tigers and Rovers, from 1978 to 1982. They won their only senior grade WKFA premiership in 1984 when, known at the time as Derby Hawks, they downed Broome Saints in the grand final by 32 points, 16.10 (106) to 11.8 (74). It was the culmination of a superb season which had seen them sustain just one defeat. The Tigers' two most recent grand final contests both ended in defeat, at the hands of Cable Beach in 2012, and Broome Bulls in 2017.
