Esperance

Esperance was a founder member in 1956 of the Esperance Districts Football Association and won the first of an eventual competition record 27 senior grade premierships the following year. The club’s haul of flags includes three hat-tricks, while its most recent success in 2017 was the culmination of a record breaking sequence of six in succession. The Bulldogs' bid to make it seven flags in a row was derailed on grand final day 2018 by Gibson, who won a hard fought encounter by nine points. A year later the same two teams contested the grand final with Gibson again prevailing, this time by a margin of 27 points.
